SF-424 (R&R)SF-424
The family of standard federal application forms, including the SF-424 (R&R) used for research proposals.
The SF-424 is the government-wide application form set. Research proposals use the SF-424 (Research & Related) version, which bundles the cover, project/performance sites, senior/key personnel, budget, and research plan forms, submitted through Grants.gov or a system-to-system service.
Agencies add their own components on top, but the SF-424 core is what makes applications interoperable across Grants.gov.
These forms are the actual submission package: errors or missing attachments cause rejection at the system level.
